The vision of Odyssey Development began in 1981 with
“dirt and a dream”. Today, the company employs over 200
people at five all-season, premier Minnesota resorts, has a
full service brokerage real estate division and is the
developer/builder of private homes as well as multiple
restaurants and resort lodges.

Timeline
 Under the umbrella of Odyssey Development are the
divisions for Real Estate and Construction, both of
which were born out of an unmet need in our Northern
Minnesota area. As a developer of resorts that offer private
vacation home ownership, it was evident that the existing
real estate and finance community needed guidance to
properly represent the buyers and sellers at our resort
properties. Our having more experience and knowledge of that
process, lead to our own real estate office in Two Harbors,
Minnesota in addition to our on location licensed agent in
Walker, Minnesota. Today, the Odyssey Real Estate Group
represents buyers and sellers of private homes, land sales,
commercial/industrial properties in addition to our Odyssey
Resorts lake homes, cabins, condominiums and town homes.

The Odyssey Construction Division is the newest – yet
brings us full circle back to our beginning with the
development and building of custom homes designed for
comfort and long lasting quality. Again, it was due to a
lack of experienced, full service professional designers and
builders that this division was created. If you are

theme is consistent at all Odyssey Resorts, though each
offers a unique setting either on the shoreline of a popular
Minnesota lake or slope side at Lutsen Mountains. The North
Shore of Lake Superior is home to three Odyssey Resorts, and
Lutsen Minnesota is where Caribou Highlands Lodge offers the
most ski-in/ski-out lodging on the Mountain. Leech Lake in
Walker, Minnesota is the location of our true North Woods,
Northern Minnesota Trapper’s Landing Lodge .Vacation
rentals and ownership opportunities are available at all
locations.
